Janine's Product Picks for the Winter Season!
Spoiled as we are in beautiful sunny southern California, the Fall season has arrived bringing cooler weather, more wind and a different set of challenges for our complexions. Just as we put away our tank tops and swimsuits and bring out our favorite sweaters and boots..... the skincare products that served us so well throughout the warm summer days and nights should be replaced with a different set of products more suited for the Fall/Winter Season. In Fall and Winter we have a greatly diminished layer of sebaceous oil (the skins natural lubricant) leaving the epidermis (the outer layer) dry, chapped, itchy, irritated or dull appearance.
My product picks for November and December are guaranteed to transform drab skin into a complexion that is dewy, soft, and vibrant.
- Skinceuticals—C & E Ferulic Acid A serum formulated with pure 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, 1% Alpha Tocopherol (vitamin E) and 0.5% Ferulic Acid to deliver an unprecedented 8x the skin's natural protection against environmental damage. Data supports that this serum will neutralize free radicals from the entire UV spectrum and other environmental sources, prevents the formation of thymine dimmers—sun-induced DNA mutations associated with skin cancer, stimulates collagen synthesis to help diminish the appearance of environmental damage, premature aging, loss of elasticity, and hyperpigmentation. I use this product daily and have found in the course of a few weeks upon daily application my complexion is vibrant and unlike other "C" serums does not sting on contact.
